The Role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join Eastlight Community Homes on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the Stores Logistics and Administrative Support Teams within our Home Solutions Team (HST). In this role, you will be responsible for managing key services such as in-house stores, fleet management, waste services, and the administration and scheduling of operations. 

You will drive continuous improvement across these services, ensuring the most efficient and effective support is delivered to customers. This position also includes budget management of £3-5 million, overseeing stock turnover of £3 million, and a £350k stock holding. Your leadership will help shape the team’s culture and processes, promoting innovation and enhancing service delivery.

You will have proven experience in procurement, supply chain management including stock control and fleet management. You will have experience of working in a management capacity in the Housing Sector and experience of managing and controlling significant budgets. The successful candidate will also have an understanding of construction legislation, it’s implementation and knowledge of the Central government definitions of the Decent Homes Standard. The role requires excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills, as well as the ability to monitor performance and lead audits and analysis.

  • Salary: £48,000 [£43,200 for 6 months if appointed under a development opportunity due to less experience]
  • £2,200 car allowance p/a
  • Full-time, Permanent contract 
  • Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
